Because the Arcane and Divine Archetypes grant the appropriate Spell Casting Talent and Archetypes waive requirements, does this mean that a character with a casting stat of less than 6 could take the corresponding Archetype?

Are they required to ever have the minimum casting stat? Granted I’m not sure why you would want to have a primary caster with a sub-optimal casting stat, but you may want to clarify.

I can’t answer the ‘intent’ but as written, casters ignore minimum casting requirements at character generation. Martial characters can ignore attribute requirements on techniques as well as they are written currently.

However, after character generation, to take Arcane or Divine Casting Tier II and above you need to meet the requirements, which include an attribute requirement. Having a talent become “unlimited’ does not mean you can ignore requirements.

For instance if an Expert takes Leadership at Archetype and ignores the skill requirements, they must meet those same requirements at Tier II or above to take higher versions of Leadership.

I’d be fine with what you’ve described as the answer. This dovetails into the Learn Spell question I posted as well.

Yes, you can start with an Arcane/Divine caster with a casting stat below 6…

So you’ll add this then as a Q&A question?

Also, you’ll add the correct interpretation of whether subsequent tiers must still meet minimum requirements for Tier I or is that already covered somewhere I missed?

    Correct, I’ll add both
