Okay, I just wanted to get some clarification on how Burnout is reduced during a scene.

The book says that you get Burnout reduced by 1 for each tick you go without using that power. So, let’s say my character throws electricity which has a Burnout of 4. He tries a devastating attack which moves his clock up 6. So, does that mean while he waits those six ticks, he reduces his burnout by 6?

Or does he have to stop using his powers first. Like, he attacks with the Devastating attack, waits six ticks, and then fires a gun at a Super Z instead. That’s a complex action, so he’s go in three ticks. By the time he goes again in three ticks, he’d get to reduce his burnout by 3?

Keeping in mind I don’t have this rulebook (but it uses the same mechanics as Arcanis):

It doesn’t start to reduce until you get your next action.

    ie.
Tick 1: Use power (Speed 6, Burnout 4)
Tick 7: act again and start to reduce Burnout (4)
    Tick 8: (3)
    Tick 9: (2)
    Tick 10: (1)
    Tick 11: (0)

Mechanical note: Don’t get Pushed before your Burnout starts to reduce!

That makes complete sense to me. Okay, I understand it now.
