I just wanted to be a bit pre-emptive with this…
I knew the Kickstarter was starting soon(TM) and that henry wanted to launch on a Tuesday (it is a weird Kickstarter thing…better chance of success). I have been talking local players up, as well as ones at the con in Chicago on Thanksgiving weekend. But, I only found out that it was going to launch tonight around 8pm…and the first thing I did was check the forums and saw where Henry announced the same, otherwise, I would have given everyone a bigger heads up.
But anyway, there is already complaints on the boards about people not getting the special rewards they wanted, etc. because of the way that the KS was rolled out. It is imperative that we, as Harvesters, give nothing less than our full-voiced support of the PCI decisions. Yes, we can be empathetic and understanding. But, please, screen your thoughts. I am not suggesting that you don’t give your opinion, just that you be diplomatic. Dissension and animosity can cause people to withdraw and/or withhold support….and, I think, PCI and the campaign needs a solid “win” on this Kickstarter. It could be a big boost to our beloved game, so support/promote the hell out of it!
Like I said, this is pre-emptive. I haven’t seen or heard of anyone “bad mouthing” PCIs decisions, but I know how conversations on the forums can grow organically.
Additionally, seeing how fast everything went, I am sure PCI is going to want more to offer. So, spitball here and give them as much help as we can.

-a “pacified” Voei Former Slave character
-Kio Character with Griffon Loyal Companion that can become a SkyKnight at higher levels.
-something Elorrii-specific….especially to the First City.
-a $20 add-on that gets you an Heirloom….should be tied to the First City/Blessed Lands (not handed down like the character creation one)…1 per character
-a $20 add-on for Ss’ressen characters granting them an Exceptional Quality mount from the Sseth book. (to help push toward that Stretch Goal)….since Ssressen cant have Heirloom, they cant get Exceptional mounts otherwise….1 per character
-an add on to get one of those “bug guy” accountants (cant recall their name….Samu?)…have to pay them per mod, though (they aren’t slaves, but would have common slave stats)December 11, 2013 at 1:13 pm #253123AnonymousInactiveI second what Matt says. Yesterday, in my opinion at least, was a great success for the campaign but when dealing with a limited amount of special awards (as it should be), there will always be those that will take their frustrations out on the board.
I believe adding another two tier pledge levels in between what we currently have would be a great idea. One could be for playing a special character (x3) while the other could enhance an existing character (x4). With that alone, it could put us at goal. However, the true strength and health of the campaign is the amount of $25.00 and $50.00 pledges that come in….and that is something we should be promoting at local gaming groups, FLGSs, etc.
December 11, 2013 at 1:15 pm #253124AnonymousInactiveI hope none of my comments are taken as anything but good suggestions. I know PCI will balance player’s desires with what they feel is appropriate for the Kickstarter.
Some other suggestions here for other pledge levels (add-ons):
1) Your character has a special important contact in the First City that helps certain skills (You might know a Loremaster who helps with Knowledges)
2) I think 12+ interesting pledges could be “Favored of” where you are able to call down a once / adventure minor benefit. (For instance, Saluwe: You may remove a wound from a character. Larissa: You may reroll any failed roll, etc.)
3) Your character may be from Canceri when using the Expatriate Background.
4) Your character has learned a unique Spell / Martial Maneuver (subject to PCI approval)John

Matt I recall Henry saying that the accountant creatures would be playable when the book comes out.
Kickstarter Ideas
– A playable Val Inares after the old age change
– access to a myrantian bronze head
– I know a couple of players that would love to be from cancerii
– very particular heirloom gear, like a gladius of light for example or Elebac’s special weapons
– Val’Hammen as a playable race
– val’Trisin, val’sungha, val’baucsiz special characters– to keep eyes on the kickstarter the result of a special mission from WAAAAAYback into the citadels could be put out there as an update note
December 11, 2013 at 3:01 pm #253133AnonymousInactiveLindsay was really interested in a Viral cert ala the “Secret Knowledge of Kelimhres”, but maybe applied to “Knowledge of the path of Stars”
Secret Knowledge of Kelimhres
The emergence of the Bleeding Plague has become a concern to many, not least of whom is the foremost scholarly researcher in the city of Nishanpur, the former Archivist of the Histories, Kelimrhe val’Emman (formerly val’Virdan). Kelimrhe has spent a great deal of time researching the history of the order, which calls itself the Disciples of Purification, and their methods. Kelimrhe has taken the time to share this knowledge, and wishes for it to be spread as far and wide as possible, in order to facilitate a possible cure for the Bleeding Plague that is rapidly spreading through Nishanpur.
You may download copies of this certificate from Onara Online (http://www.onaraonline.org) and issue one copy to any PC who plays in an adventure that you play in. You and the player to whom this is issued must sign and date the back of this non-tradeable certificate.December 11, 2013 at 9:47 pm #253177AnonymousInactive– Val’Hammen as a playable race
– val’Trisin, val’sungha, val’baucsiz special characters
Aren’t some of these going to be playable anyways at some point? Someone asked about paying to play a Sama, but it’s one of those things that’s going to be playable anyways after a point.December 11, 2013 at 9:58 pm #253178AnonymousInactivesome but not all i would imagine
December 14, 2013 at 2:54 pm #253392AnonymousInactiveI know many of us do not visit other forums, but Cody B. started a thread on rpgnet about the Kickstarter. PLEASE, as much as you can, get discussions going on it. Encourage your players to post, etc. Talk up the game!!!! With the pdf bundles and book add-ons, this is a great time to expand the game/campaign! But, we need to keep the word of mouth up to achieve it.
His link to it is on pg. 12 of the KS thread in the products forum.
December 14, 2013 at 5:26 pm #253395AnonymousInactiveI think we should also start a post on the forums of enworld.org….not sure anybody has done that yet.

Well there are others you can try, such as RPG.net.
The important thing is to keep the game in people’s minds when they go to a forum, until hopefully they check us out.
December 14, 2013 at 11:59 pm #253409AnonymousInactiveThread started on ENworld….i dont think I could post a link to the KS, though.
