Excellency,
I am writing to share my observations from my investigations within the Vault of Larissa’s Lament. Attached are the detailed notes of those areas that we explored including careful study of the shrines devoted to Illir, Saluwe, Cadic, Larissa and Sarish. We had time to only perform a cursory review of the chapel to Beltine. Realizing that others were pushing on deeper into the fortress we decided to try and come back later to the shrines so as to avoid the loss of information and artifacts of great interest to the true church. My team was successful in finding the Tear of Larissa though others found out that we possessed it. We did help ensure it ended up in the hands of the Mother Church as opposed to being taken to be used to unknown ends by other various parties. At this point I will hope that you can ensure that the right caretakers are found to deal with such a powerful artifact. In addition to the notes provided I am also providing the statue with the dust on top of it, secreted behind the statue of Illir. Given that this is the same room that had statues of the Elorii gods in the statues of Hurrian, Saluwe, Nier and Yarris, that extra statue is significant.
Of additional note, the following individuals I traveled with removed several items I was not able to get that you may wish to track down.
Anoush val’Mehan – removed a book of Sarishan contracts extensive in length as well as a book with extremely detailed descriptions of a large number of infernals.
Kermina val’Borda, priestess of Larissa took a set of 1st Imperium priest robes of Larissa. She also took a prayer book held by a high priest nominally to turn over to her grandmother, though I believe that ended up in the hands of the Azure Way.
Acturis – Legionnaire of the Watchful Hunter, carried a journal from the Legate of the Legion of Just Fate and was the one in our party who discovered the Tear. I do not believe he is an appropriate individual to recruit.
Kyl a Kio cleric of Beltine from the League of Princes was granted a vision by Larissa tied to the horror she saw. In it he referenced the God Emperor, but I don’t recall more details on itYou should also see a report from Dessa val’Mehan, also of my legion who was working on your behalf.
For my own part Cadic graced me with one if his blades and with appropriate reverence I shall carry it. May it serve our cause well.
If you have need, speak and I will answer as best I can.
Your humble servant,
Vincens Lerato val’Borda, Former Optio, Legion of the Watchful Hunter

In the shrine to Neroth we found very elaborate murals depicting individuals wielding holy symbols that had aspects of Neroth and another deity, each one different ( will provide the specifics once I review our notes, drawings and rubbings). One mural was too damaged to determine the image.
I believe it was the second lowest level where my party found an ancient library that was not empty, nor unoccupied. To me, this was the most valuable thing for the Orthodoxy. An individual of val’Mordane descent was there, and had been since the day the Vault was buried. He had compiled and preserved a massive amount of books and writings from throughout the Vault that covered information and histories that preceded most of what we have knowledge of. Of immediate interest to me from our initial conversation, he had no understanding why one would worship/honor just one of the gods, that seemed to be an alien concept to him. He did not know what a dwarf was, was not aware of Illir’s Curse on the Giants and did not even seems to know what a Celestial Giant was.
The one item I took, per the agreement with the Emerald Society, was something a companion of mine in another group found. He had already acquired something he could not part with. It is something called the Golden Tome and appears to have Cants in it that have not been seen for 3,000 years. This is not something I am capable of using as I am not divinely gifted, but I thought it too important to our cause to leave to the Emerald Society. Who needs a stone spear anyways, right?
I’ll send a more complete report once I have gotten some sleep and made sense of all we saw. The vastness of the Vault was almost overwhelming.
