I have started the intro adventures with a group. is there an adventure which is really short (after the first 4), as I for the next session I will need approx. 1h to finish Whispers of the Gods) but then have two hours for the next one. Any options?

Probably not. Most of the modules are designed with a 4 hour unit of time in mind. IMO In Plain Sight is the shortest of the mods and tends to run a little short of a full 4 hours. But not THAT much short.

If you have the Fast Play or the mini mods from the ARP rule set you could do a quick stat conversion on your own to create a 5E experience. Or perhaps some of the simpler mods from the Codex of Adventures would work…though obviously there are no certs or rewards for either of these (beyond the enjoyment of the experience).

Personally of the remaining mods, I might try splitting up Espionage into multiple sessions. I think there are natural break points in the module between (a)getting into Canceri, (b)looking around, and (c)taking “remedial actions.” You could maybe hustle the first two parts through in two hours. Or leisurely go through just the first part.

Again personal opinion, To Die Alone is the hardest to split up since PCs get dropped into a “sandbox” and are mostly left to their own devices with minimal direction from NPCs. Probably they do an investigation with lots of NPCs…which won’t benefit from being completed in two sessions.

    Good luck. Hope that helps!

There are 2 mini mods that are available that are each supposed to take 2 hours or so. They are geared for new players.

Are they available in the adventure section? Just wondering where to find them.

The two Mini Modules you mention were released for ARPG only, not 5E. They are called Walking on Eggshells and Problems in Transit. Like val Horyn said PeteZero could convert them from ARPG to 5E.
The trouble is they were never released for public play. Only certain GMs were given them to introduce new players to ARPG.

Or perhaps some of the simpler mods from the Codex of Adventures would work…though obviously there are no certs or rewards for either of these (beyond the enjoyment of the experience).

This could also work if you have purchased the book. I have yet to run through them so I don’t know how short they are. But val Holryn is mistaken,. There are certs as these modules are for legal play in the 5E campiagn.

I did run them in 5E at a convention, so I know they exist.

Not sure if I’m allowed to send them out.

Actually there is a 3rd mini module out there. A 2 hour Introductory module the Hinterlands region was ran at GenCon this year.

Oooh. Aahhh! 5 are certs for the Codex of Adventures. That’s good news! I must have confused the no certs with the ARP system (…or maybe i’m Just flat wrong. Gotta go check that link).

Hope they can be sent out. Henry? Pedro? Would be great if one of them can approve.

    Hello Pete,

Hope they can be sent out. Henry? Pedro? Would be great if one of them can approve.

With the new agreement with authors being paid for their work, they would need to be purchased. We’ working down the list of adventures for sale. As soon as we get to it, we’ll release it and announce here.

Giving them away undercuts these authors’ revenue (which is not that big to begin with) and removes any incentive for writing more.

So PLEASE, if you have a copy, DO NOT share them.

    Thank you.

Not releasing them also undercuts authors revenue… any chance they will be released? What holds up written and ready modules from being released?
