Links to articles on this topic started popping up on RPGnet this morning, and it’s just too deliciously weird not to post here. Great fodder for an odd witch hunter adventure.

    Hello Tom,

Yep – great story! I read about it a few days ago and thought that an adventure for just about anything from Witch Hunter, to Arcanis, to Rotted Capes could be written around that news article.

A ghost ship full of thousands of hungry, canabalistic rats.

True, it’s all speculation and the ship is probably quite deserted, rats and all, but still, a very cool story.

Perhaps they are not just rats but some ghost that possesses them – each rat can only take a little bit of its essence so it possesses a lot at once – sort of a group mind.

Or perhaps the rats have eaten each other and they are the ghosts

So many possibilities – but then again I like ships and horror – I wrote one for the Living Death campaign way back (Sisters by Blood) – and if they ever open up for soft points when I have time – I would do it again (not that game obviously – as Hasbro has the rights).
