Hello all,
My heroes just had their session 0 and we intruded the supporting cast. My question was regarding adding skills to the cast.
During this process the player proposing the Hero’s supporting cast may opt to give them a useful skill set. If approved by the Editor-in-Chief, this costs the player a plot die.
Is this lost permanent or the loss only if the supporting cast come into play during a session?
Thanks.

NB: A plot die expenditure is ‘single use’ and doesn’t prevent earning more or resetting to default for a new Issue. Also note that the next paragraph, the Players can *earn* plot die by giving them Flaws as well.Your other option is to allow a full-custom build as a 75 point character (with no Powers); they now have a ready-made replacement Hero after becoming zombie chow. A reasonable SC can contribute enough to reach the end of an Issue as a replacement Hero.
This also gives them more experience with the creation system. Building a couple of SCs (for the EiC encounter file) really opens up some of the things that can be done. A couple of the pregen-SCs I have built wound up being more useful/powerful that the Hero they were attached to…
