    I don’t have the final mods from the previous campaign, but I was wondering where the final battle vs Manetas happened in the last campaign? (and if anyone has the BI text they can send me that would be AMAZING)

    It happened in the (throne room?) of Grand Coryan.

    Got real messy, even with Legendary gear.

    Ah I remember that battle…it was a slog to get to it but it was still fun and I may have scared the GM with spells.

    GM: Roll initative.
    Me: Natural 20 with big bonuses. Looks like I’m first. Is he on the ground? Yes? I cast Earthquake.
    GM started sweating when he almost rolled a 1 on the save.
    So close to an insta-kill…

    Not really. According to Manetas’ stats, he can never Critical Fail a roll (the joys of being a Divine Rank. . . 1? 5?)

    Well that kills a fond memory \":cry:\"

    It also just turns the encounter into a count down the clock style event with little fun (Spam walls of force and hide behind the fighters who have no job other than meat shield until the ritual is complete). Shame.

    As I recall, there was a lot of spell immunity going on – not all of it within the rules as written, but for the sake of story. I remember someone at my table casting time stop, and suddenly running around in panic as Manetas tried to kill him, with the rest of us cracking up while frozen in time.
