If there’s room for me, I’d also enjoy getting in some Tuesday afternoon & evening games. My flight lands at noon, so I could be ready for games around 1/1:30 or after.
I have space to share in a hotel room in the Hyatt for Tuesday night (only); get in touch if you’re interested.
May 12, 2015 at 9:28 am #267811frootsnaxParticipantI am getting in earlier than expected. I could play or judge something on Tues afternoon after lunch.
May 13, 2015 at 2:45 pm #267832AnonymousInactiveI’m willing to judge at least one if not both slots on Tuesday, as long as you guys help me out with judging questions. I have a fair grasp of the basics but get a bit lost on the complex things like spell adaptations and martial maneuver. My rule of thumb is if it sounds reasonable I go with it, but if the numbers sound off my BS alarm goes off. As in I have +10 to my attack at Tier 1.5. or I get to add my passive value to my attack role, that sort of thing. And this from a guy who has the books and should know better!
We do need to nail down the mods so I or whoever can print them out and prep them. Any strong preferences from people? I know some people mentioned Long March Dark Coda, but some people won’t be there for both slots. On possibility would be for one group to play that in both slots for those who need it, and another judge run another mod in the evening slot. Or we can do something else. I have found if you play smart you can avoid a number of fight in Long March which shortens the mod quite a bit.
To Matt and Eric, you guys do a LOT of judging so is there anything you guys would really like to play?
May 13, 2015 at 3:16 pm #267835AnonymousInactiveI’m one of the ones that would really like Long March but I know double-length is hard to fit in…
My primary interests (the mods Ss’kethis still needs) are:
SP1-12 Thousand Words
SP2-4 Long March, Dark Coda
SP2-6 Knife’s Edge (don’t think it’s been released yet)
SP2-8 To Die Alone
SP2-9 In Plain Sight
HP2-1 Into the Blessed Lands
HP2-4 Visions of Lives Past
HP2-5 Vexing PriestsFailing that, I can play G’hyu’thyh in anything cert-1.5 legal except Elements of Faith.
May 13, 2015 at 3:44 pm #267837AnonymousInactiveSteve when I ran Long March Dark Coda for my local group we got it done in about five to six hours as I recall. They avoided all but one fight. Still it was a small table and more people (especially if there’s more fights and rp) will make the mod run longer. We’ll see what others want. Getting a consensus may be difficult. If we can’t get one I may simply pick the two I think are the most fun to run and go with those.
May 15, 2015 at 11:25 pm #267887frootsnaxParticipantI might need Troubled Tides. Other no. I’m up to date. I’m not judging as much as Matt. Would be happy to run a round
May 19, 2015 at 1:14 am #267941AnonymousInactiveHi all,
I’ll be coming over from the UK… Are there any pre conventions mods being run? I’ve managed to play the first parts of the Coming of the Destroyer storyline but NOT:
A2HP06 The Price of Honor
A2HP07 Words of the SeerIs anyone running these? Tuesday/Wednesday?
btw their will be two of us from the UK… A Val and a Handbag (Ss’ressen)!

I’d prefer to run different tables if there’s enough interest so everyone gets a chance to play.
May 23, 2015 at 8:55 am #268013AnonymousInactiveOkay, as I previously mentioned, we are hoping to get into Columbus some time between 12-1pm on the Tuesday, but that is going to depend a lot on how busy the border crossing is, and how much road construction we encounter.
The list of modules that Amanda and I will be very interested in are:
HP2-05 Vexing Priests
SP2-04 Long March, Dark Coda
SP2-06 The Edge of the Knife (but I doubt it will be revised by Origins)There are plenty of other modules we would be able to play with alts, those are just at the top of our lists. Seeing as we are getting close to con time, we should probably start organizing a little more thoroughly. I will make a tentative list of players/GMs for Tuesday, and perhaps we can start to make some firm module plans:
Tuesday, June 2nd 2015 – Mid-day slot (1pm-ish)
Potential GMs:
Eric Gorman
Michael T. Hebert
Tony Njissen?
Akira Currier?Potential Players:
Steve Wilcoxon
Auroris
Matthew Flinn?
David Chappell
Dan (valUK) + friend
Amanda L.Tuesday, June 2nd 2015 – Evening slot (8pm-ish)
Potential GMs:
Eric Gorman
Michael T. Hebert
Tony Njissen
Akira CurrierPotential Players:
Kenny (drafit)
Michael T. Hebert
Steve Wilcoxon
Auroris
Peter Parker
John Bellando
Matthew Flinn
David Chappell
Dan (valUK) + friendI had to make a few guesses for the above, seeing as a number of people did not post exactly what times they were available. The people listed as potential judges have not actually committed to running anything, they have simply indicated a willingness to run a game or two.
If we can refine these lists a little we can start to make firmer plans for the who/what/when.
May 23, 2015 at 11:15 am #268014AnonymousInactiveI could definitely run either Vexing Priests or Long March Dark Coda, as long as people take into account I’m not as expert on these rules as I am on 3.5/Pathfinder. On the other hand I’ve had no complaints as to my GMing either. Except when I ran In Plain Sight for a short table at CincyCon, but that was a chance to beat up my friends that I could not pass up.
Besides it might be fun to give both Tony and Matt a chance to play.
At this point I think we need to decide what would be the best mods to run and who should judge. Maybe one table of Long March Dark Coda for those who want that and a table of two other mods for the rest.May 23, 2015 at 11:24 am #268015AnonymousInactiveBy my count I have three people who want Long March Dark Coda. Anyone else interested or willing to help fill out a table? I have the mod at home and have run it once so I’m familiar with it.
May 28, 2015 at 8:32 am #268071frootsnaxParticipantHas there been movement on organizing tables? Organizing is just about my least favorite gaming related activity. I’ve heard several mods as possibilities tossed around. Someone put my mod (SP 2-08) To Die Alone out there. I would happily run that. Others have mentioned Vexing Priests and the Price of Honor. Both mods that i like and would also be happy to run. .

If we can manage it, my first choice would be for Long March (just need 1-3 more players it looks like). Otherwise, I need both To Die Alone and Vexing Priests.
May 28, 2015 at 3:24 pm #268076AnonymousInactiveHey Eric how about I prep Long March Dark Coda and Vexing Priests, you prep To Die Alone and the Price of Honor. If someone else want to they can bring and prep Words of the Seer and one other mod. That should give a range of choice to players. What does everyone think of those selections. I imagine I will run Long March Dark Coda since several people wanted that. Actually if you play smart and avoid some of the fights the mod can be run in under two hours. If the party is buff enough I will handwave at least one fight since I think they can take that encounter without anyone dropping.
May 28, 2015 at 5:34 pm #268078AnonymousInactiveOf the mods mentioned so far, I would like to play
- Long March, Dark Coda[/*:m]
- Troubled Tides[/*:m]
- Pride Goeth Before a Fall [/*:m]
- Knife’s Edge (maybe not released yet)[/*:m]
I have already played (and not in a rush to replay since there are so many I haven’t played):
- A2-HP1 Into the Blessed Lands[/*:m]
- A2-HP4 Visions of Lives Past[/*:m]
- A2-HP5 Vexing Priests[/*:m]
- The Price of Honor[/*:m]
- Words of the Seer[/*:m]
- Thousand Words[/*:m]
- To Die Alone[/*:m]
- A2-SP9 In Plain Sight[/*:m]
I could GM a round but feel comfortable running only Crusade mods since I’ve been prepping them for a group here in Boston.
Thank you, GMs!
