Question: When I’m subject to Grasp the Blade (my
attack is negated) must I immediately pull my weapon free
(having my clock pushed by 2) or can I wait till my action to
release the weapon.

Answer: You do not have to pull your weapon free immediately,
you may voluntarily take a push 2 action when
your weapon is “grasped”, or make a Simple (2 tick) action
you can take normally.
