I’m starting this thread to present and discuss information on the val’Cessari, a long-lost and mostly unknown family of vals. I’m putting it in the Spoilers thread since there is some information on them that would be considered spoilers. As is the standard on this forum, all posts here should be considered out-of-character unless explicitly marked otherwise.
[Some players may have inside knowledge on the val’Cessari. This thread does not encourage spreading information that has been promised to be kept secret.]

The people who ran each domain were called Invisible Kings. A full list of the IK domains is:
- Atria[/*:m]
- Emerald Society[/*:m]
- Enpebyn[/*:m]
- Haina[/*:m]
- Lustia, City of Leaves[/*:m]
- Metra[/*:m]
- Midake[/*:m]
- Old Coryan[/*:m]
- Paldaris[/*:m]
- Plexus[/*:m]
Those IKs who met certain minimum requirements for writing a certain number of modules were granted the option to play val’Cessari characters.
People who don’t play val’Cessari don’t know much about them or their abilities.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along. One would almost think forces conspire to redact information about the family…
June 27, 2016 at 8:38 pm #273131drafitParticipantNo conspiracy..just me.
I deleted the posts due to the fact that the book is still new to a number of people and they should have the pleasure of figuring how to decode without it being spoiled.
So nothing nefarious. Just a matter of keeping things fun for others.

June 27, 2016 at 10:23 pm #273135AnonymousInactiveTbe C is “hard” like a K. Which means it could be spelled Kessari. Kessari is a form of cheese. See the following.

Old moldy cheese. They must be from the green moon.

(BTW, there really is an Illuminati secret society in Arcanis. They’re associated with the val’Assante family.)

Does anyone here know anything about him that they care to share?
July 21, 2016 at 3:39 am #273264AnonymousInactiveThe first anyone seems to have heard about him was the little announcement that the new Imperator made in the Plaza of the Lady. Before this, as far as (most) of the people of the world knew, there were no such things as the val’Cessari, let alone this Merric guy.
Hell, we still don’t have proof that they exist, so for all we know Cal’s off his rocker.
July 21, 2016 at 6:07 am #273265AnonymousInactiveOOC: There are legends, mentioned even less than the mythical Other from the Gods’ War, of a minor val family called the val’Cessari. There is no real evidence that any such thing has ever existed, and bards enjoy fabricating fictional stories from the time of the Imperium to fill in gaps of history and amuse crowds.
