Hello everyone,
I’m back from my vacation and wanted to share some news with you.
We have a forthcoming product (in PDF only, at this time) titled the Codex of the Mind.
Within its pages I plan to write a full write up on the val’Cessari as a val family, as well as some info on Lianni.
Don’t worry – the race is still restricted and can only be played if you were an IK.
Anyway, hopefully this will resolve all the rules questions you may have on playing a val’Cessari.
Thank you!

Awesome news
Cheers

In any case ,I’ll have to figure out much info to give and what to keep in reserve to be discovered by the players.
I’m more concerned with the mechanical needs.
So if there’s a burning question, besides the Blood line Powers, let me know.
Thanks!
Henry

Just the historical ‘pantheon’ data (skill, weapon, armor etc) that Divine heroes would need for a game in the Mythic Age.
Summary: {The Invisible Kings PDF}
Deity: Lianni, Goddess of the Mind {daughter of Illiir and Saluwe}
Portfolio: perception, wit and the mind {IK: “The Mythic Age”}
Skill: ? {likely: Perception}
Weapon: ?
Armor: ?Information for new PDF {COH format: Codex of Faith}
Worship: ?
Sphere of Influence: ?
Temple: ?
Role of the Priest: As Lianni ‘give herself utterly to the Nameless One”, there are no Divine priests of Lianni since the Mythic Age.Special notes: surviving valinor “The Third Eye of Lianni”, fate after the Mythic Age is unknown.
{speculation: hiding as the Larissan Valinor of Dreams aka The Sleeping Emperor}October 22, 2019 at 12:04 am #277560frootsnaxParticipantLOL. Tukufu is pretty sure he’s met the 3rd Eye…and not napping in Khitan.
I definitely looked and I wasn’t “meh” … I’m very happy that we are getting a psionic book. It’s not clear how much is 5E vs ARP mechanically. I only play a psion in the ARP system – because I’ve never been wild about the “Warlock class” framework that the D&D Psion *and Shaman) is mechanically derived from. But that’s just me. I know there are plenty of people who like playing them. So my first response on mechanics is … hoping for ARP support!
On story, I’m also not sure how I feel about the val’C coming out via book. I feel one of the reasons everyone has opposed Tukufu IC sharing more (and why OOC I have honored those concerns) has been that the val C story is coming out as plot points in the campaign. How does that interact with revealing everything in this book. Are we close to a big reveal in the campaign…like the proposed ArcanisCon?

Depending on the first draft page count, make it a ‘flip book’ (two front covers). val’Cessari on one side, our enemies, the val’Holryn on the other, since both families appear to have been heavily involved in the Blood War.

This would also increase the sales audience, as the val’Holryn are unrestricted.Speculation: the val’Holryn learned the secret to cannibalize other families blood, which even the val’Abebi never worked out. This would explain their random manifestation.

The val’Cessari is getting a write-up, not a full book on that one val family.
