Hmmm, had to hunt it down, but I found the rule you are referencing at the bottom of Page 170 in ARPG. Would the passive Insight from Murderous Precision be considered a static bonus as well? If so I might scrap this whole combat style altogether since there doesn’t seem to be many advantages to it.

Guess there’s a reason why most of my local group plays casters.

MP is worth having for gacking common (and minion) humanoids. Such foes don’t show up in every fight but they show up a lot in the campaign. My main character from the Crusade arc had it. And it was always great when it went off. Spell Casting is great for clearing minions…less cool for dealing with multiple common foes. And you run into strain issues…

I don’t mean to say that MP is useless. I just don’t know that it’s worth spending two talents in order to be able to use it, especially if it doesn’t stack with other talent bonuses, and especially if I can only use it if I have tactical edge. Instead of taking Waylay and MP, I could train Sweeping Strikes and Unbalancing Attack and have some good options that could do just as well or better than MP without all the restrictions.
