@ Haakon val’Ishi – the mods Henry’s asking for are from the 1st Arc, as all of the 2nd Arc mods would still be available..
Henry said : I was thinking of having a few select Soft Points from the A1 series or possibly A2 be reclassified as Intro adventures, basically to take you from Tier 1.0 to 1.5.
Hence why I included the Arc 2 mods, which I am more familiar with having GMed those more recently.

It’s just me but I’m not a huge fan of the Pricklespur mods.
Not My Daughter is a fun mod and a good choice.
What about Ancient Secrets Left Unspoken?
January 13, 2017 at 7:04 pm #274329AnonymousInactiveI might be willing to specifically throw my hat in to write an intro mod or two. I feel like those have been my best work anyways, so getting back into the game via that method could work well for me.

Can I order the mods to set it up (before Sunday) and then play the mods when we can all assemble (with a hard cap like GAMESTORM (Portlands biggest gaming Con) or Arcaniscon)?

If you’ll look at the opening post, I edted it to say that the HARD RETIREMENT is May 31st, 2017.
SO if you can get them in by then, you’re golden.
January 14, 2017 at 8:29 am #274339frootsnaxParticipantAh. Missed that. Okay. That’s more than fair. We’ll get it done.
January 16, 2017 at 7:40 pm #274357AnonymousInactiveWhat does this mean for the 5e side of things? Will there be a cert for them at some point?
January 16, 2017 at 11:15 pm #274361AnonymousInactiveThe adventures being released at the moment (the re-release of A2: The Coming of the Destroyer) are meant to advance them to the point desired for the beginning of A3. While Level 5 (ish) and Tier 3 are not equivalent, it is right at the start of the 5e “butter zone” where you’re powerful enough to have fun, but low enough level that you can play a bunch of adventures.
January 17, 2017 at 7:20 am #274362AnonymousInactiveThank you for the Tier 3 Cert! I think that overall it’ll make it a lot easier to introduce new players to the system — they’ll be able to start at the same level (roughly) as the others at the table, and not feel like they’ve got lots of catching up to do.
One thing that may help with the learning curve is to have a few Tier 3 PCs drawn up for new players to start with, just like we’ve had for Tier 1 PCs. If nothing else, browsing existing PCs can help a new player understand what a legal Tier 3 PC should look like.

January 17, 2017 at 9:33 am #274363AnonymousInactiveTier 3 will be interesting.
It is quite a leap from the Tier 1.5 cert. I’m not sure if there have been enough games to get from a 1.5 cert character to 3.1 with just playing regular games (36 games I think). I think the games might get you to 2.5 or thereabouts. Only a character who has played from the A1 Crusade Arc could reach 3.1.
Our group is still playing some quite old games and the highest is currently 2.3 I think. We’ll catch up with this cert, but I guess we lose some continuity. Still it will level the playing field.
Can I clarify a point or two?
1) If a character has played an A3 arc game, can that character continue to play A2 arc games as well?
2) Will you need to be at least 3.1 to play an A3 game (either by cert or normal play)?January 17, 2017 at 1:56 pm #274364AnonymousInactiveAs previously stated, A3 mods will be written assuming T3. If you apply the cert to your character that character cannor play any non-A3 mods. If you want to bring a 1.1 character to an A3 adventure that is your choice, much like bringing a level 1 character to an adventure written for level 10.
January 17, 2017 at 4:30 pm #274365drafitParticipantHello John,
Can I clarify a point or two?
1) If a character has played an A3 arc game, can that character continue to play A2 arc games as well?Assuming you use the cert, then no. However, if you have been leveling up your character through play and play an A3 adventure, you can go back, but why would you play them out of order?
The War of the Paragons is a direct sequel to the Coming of the Destroyer story arc. If you haven’t played through all the A2 adventures, why would you want to skip ahead?
2) Will you need to be at least 3.1 to play an A3 game (either by cert or normal play)?
I believe you need to be 3.1, but I’ll double check this with the Staff.

Good idea. I’ll see about getting that done.
January 21, 2017 at 2:38 am #274394AnonymousInactiveHi all,
I am good with the 3.1 cert and love the Arcanis campaign. Just to put things in perspective.
When I am asking questions, I am trying to reflect some of the questions asked in our local gaming group in Melbourne. We aren’t close to Tier 3.1, and there are some concerns about the jump and the progression. We have just started a new online gaming group at Tier 1.5 with players from around Australia.
It’s nice to imagine playing all games of a campaign year in the order intended, but the realities of our lives often mean that a game with the regular group is missed and then it gets played later and out of order. I guess this is why some of our players were wondering if they can go back and pick up a year 2 game after the 3.1 cert is applied.
Moving on, I look forward to updating my characters to Tier 3.1 as part of this progression to Year 3 of the campaign. It will bring all of our local characters to the same Tier for the games we play. I really look forward to what is coming up in Year 3. I don’t know what the War of the Paragons brings, and I can’t wait to find out.
