Ward of Shielding says “similar to Ward of Protection except that it may only protect you and the area you are standing in”. However, it then goes on to have its own Effect block.
Does Ward of Shielding confer the immunity to Tier 1 magical effects (from Ward of Protection) in addition to the stamina barrier described in the Effect block? I find the writeup unclear and have seen it used both ways.
The spell would be quite overpowered if it provided both a healthy avoidance bonus and spell protection. I would be pretty surprised if the official answer were yes.
