I’ve thought of an option for WMII to be fit the rules.

Tier II: You gain d(Re) to all dynamic weapon Action Skill Rolls (such as resisting a disarm).
Any Passive Action Rolls (pg.91) against this weapon may instead be resolved as a Dynamic Action Roll (pg.91) when it is not your action. If using Melee: (Unarmed), this includes Grapple Combat Manoeuvres.
Clarification: If your foe chooses to (or must) use their Passive TN, you can’t gain the bonus d(Re). Sometimes reliable is better than flourish!

That seems clunky to me. Along your idea, I’d rather see a simple bonus. Something like “You gain d(Re) to all dynamic weapon Action Skill rolls and a +1 to your passive Melee skill for resisting actions which target your passive Melee skill with this weapon” (or possibly a +2).

Me like wilcoxon’s view. Simple is better \";)\"

I agree with simple, though I would make it d(Re) for ASRs and p(Re) for any passive. Having run a table with both Cunning Opponent and Grasp the Blade in very active use, some sort of bump is needed from somewhere. If nothing else there should be a size modifier to apply or something. I like the flavor for both of the talents but especially Cunning Opponent at a push 2 is broken.

With a sweep of his hat,

    I finally found a use for WMII…

    Stone Rune
Fine Armor: … strike the earth causing all creatures to perform an Acrobatics: Balance Action Skill roll vs a TN set by your Melee (Any) Action Skill Roll; any target that fails fall Prone.

Now to afford the 5 Gc \":(\"
