Similar to the Val family post, which Elorii Bloodline do you think is the best? Which is the most effective mechanically? Which is the least effective?

From my view, I think the Osalikenes are probably the best mechanically owing to their speediness. Speed kills in this game, so anyone who doesn’t gain that bonus appears (at least a bit) underpowered.

As to who I think is the least effective, I’ll probably go with the Berokenes. Loved them in 3.5, but not the biggest fan of them in this system for reasons I cannot adequately explain.

Again, sorry. Tried entering the poll, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

Almost every time I’ve created an elorii so far, it’s ended up as Osalakene.

Osalikene is certainly the most popular, but I confess I don’t see the attraction. I lean Marokene for the extra oomph in melee.

I would tend to agree with the comments about the Osalikene and the Berokene. I really liked my Berotar/Divine Elementalist in the original campaign. There’s something I can’t put my finger on though in this write up.

It’s interesting to see the Ardakene having fallen from favor a bit in this version. The write ups point to more of them having a plot or keeping the others down which I expect impacts the choice for play. Not sure personally if that would make it more or less appealing personally.

I have enough other concepts I want to play through that an Elorii hasn’t been a high priority.

    With a sweep of his…

The Ardekene in that last campaign had 2 abilties scores that got a +2 boost at the cost of -2 strength. They made awesome healing casters. Now, they have no special casting mojo and healing is greatly reduced as an issue just by the way A:RPG works. I am going to assume that differences in mechanics to the race and game is at least as impactful in character choice as the alleged ardekene conspiracy. In the last campaign I would have thought the kelekene were the second most popular choice. Now they and the marokene (never popular) seem to be in the basement by consensus (though i still lean marokene).

    Best Elorii Bloodline.
Well if you look at it from a story point Ardakene. What is their secret? What did they do that made Ravan’Tindal separate in the first place.
If you look at each sub-race mechanically (without Talents) Marokene, because they are the only one that can start with a 4 in Melee or Ranged at character creation.
If you are looking at the best Tier 1 Bloodline Talent, Osalikene. Because it provides a bonus that is useful to any build.
If you are looking at the entire Bloodline Talent chain then again Ardakene. All that extra healing can go a long way. Especially with the new (and improved rules) on Fate.
I can’t really pick one that is all round better than the rest. It depends on what you are looking for out of the game.
But I’ve built about 7 different Elorii characters. The one I’m the most happy with is a Berokene melee/short ranged martial that is focusing on her bloodline Talents. I found the Berokene Bloodline Talent chain is the best chain to combine with the Tal Kanath Path. Plus I like water as an element.

i have made a kelekene and i am really enjoying him as a combat elder caster. the access to fire and the extra +1 on wild assault have been very nice. their bloodline tier 1 is very nice for some speed reduction when needed. casting that fire ball instantly instead of having to wait 7 or 8 ticks.

    Adjafraj. Poll’s broken.

Ardakene, for being the voice of reason.

Osalikene are probably the best all-around -Flight anyone? I’m currently playing a Kelekene Expert Templar because she was Kelekene in the last campaign.
