so Just adding a free talent to anshar priests seems to be unbalanced to me, I am of the opinion that just making it available as a devout talent should be sufficient

according to Henry, story wise they are all trained to use the gates..
besides it’s a talent that comes up maybe once in 5 adventures and even then it’s a cut scene (taking 10 min)
for a home game, its amazing.. for the campaign, not so much

March 13, 2014 at 4:13 pm #258831AnonymousInactiveI’m confused….Priests of Anshar get the Talent. However, neither Templar nor Initiate of the Gods is a ‘casting’ background. They both ‘unlock’ the casting talent, one through a more ‘spiritual’ path and one through a more ‘holy champion’ path. It seems that this “Free Talent” should be offered at the Divine Archetype stage if it’s for “Priests”.
Or is it “Any worshipper of Anshar who can cast spells gets this Talent”? in which case, both templar and initiate of the gods (As well as a few paths) should get it?

No, unless they are also val’Inares.So if it’s for val’Inares (who already have access) and Priests (who were erratad access), the Talent is now Devout and if Templars aren’t suppose to get it the requires need to say specifically Priest of Anshar. Note: Priest by the way in the rules means has Ansharan Divine spell casting.

The talent states that it’s a divine talent for followers of Anshar, thus can be taken by Templars and other divine casters of Anshar
