Henry,
Thanks for the information. Given what you’ve described, is it fair to say that the LGL should not be considered an acceptable choice for the Former Legionnaire background?
I’m looking forward to finding out more about them at some point. Thanks for the info!

Correct.
December 12, 2013 at 8:46 pm #253238AnonymousInactiveyou may wish to change kofan to the ruins of kofan.
Although Nagar and Panari were restored and are thriving hubs to this day, Kofan was never rebuilt. A black ashen patch, miles long, overlooking the Straits of Coryan is all that remains of that benighted city

Is it known how the LGL attracts members. Are people born to it, do they recruit or is it more like the French Foreign Legion where people go and join up, leaving all ties to the past at the threshold?
Cheers

The entire legion is a bit of a mystery, including where it recruits from. Most legions have a “home base” of some sort; a place wher ethe recruit the majority of their fresh soldiers. The LGL is different as they don’t have a known base of operations nor does any know of someone who is a member, even anecdotally.
They’re on the legion roster and have an original First Imperium standard, so people, those that pause to think about it anyway, feel that they must be legit, but the LGL has many more questions than answers circling it.
I’m trying to see how I can weave their story into the campaign somehow. Maybe next year.
May 29, 2014 at 3:00 pm #262618AnonymousInactiveLets see rumors of 4 gates here in the first city, one maybe a world gate says a rumor and henry might let us learn about LGL, yea should we start taking bets on how many rounds the adventure could be? 2 plus a BI maybe?

::looks back at Children of Leviathan::
::looks back at Yarric Heresy and suggestions that Yarris is older than other members of the PoM::
::looks at Deep O … er … that is the Raiyer::Yes that would be terrible. Terrible! We must never let Cthullu onto the face of Onara. What? The Milandesians knights are coming? Right.

Goes back to corner
November 20, 2014 at 4:23 am #265266AnonymousInactiveI have been looking for this list for some time and continued to pass by it foolishly. So there are a couple of omissions on Nierite’s list. Mainly just clarifications. My list is of all the portals we as player can attune to. This list gives 30 portals players can attune to. Of course the new story hasn’t reintroduced all of them, and may never introduce some of the more obscure ones.
I have an official list created and posted on the old onaraonline.org website back in the day for the Ansharan Gate Keeper. There is one flaw with it though they stopped updating it somewhere between the third and fourth in game campaign year. So I had add the portals that show up after they stopped updating it.
Also it was using the old country maps so I’ve adjusted the names to match the current political countries.Abessian Dominion

The Citadel of the Wanderer, Blessed of Anshar, Corlathian Mountains, Blessed Lands
The Citadel of Illiir The Blessed Lands, South of The Vastwood
2 more portals on the far East and far West of the Blessed lands located inside other Citadels
4 Portals located in the First City
Temple of Yig, somewhere in the Kraldjur Morass (this is NOT from Wrong Turn at Coryan that one could not be attuned to because it used rods. This one is from Venom of the Daughter and could be attuned to.)As an interesting side note while updating the list I found it mentioned 3 of the gates had been moved from their original locations. Grand Coryan, Naeraanth, and Tralia.

Do we know where the reference to Kofan was from?
April 11, 2021 at 6:54 am #278210frootsnaxParticipantDo we know where the reference to Kofan was from? I went through the Disciples of Heresy and Legio Lex books and didn’t see a reference to one there. TMK as players we’ve never played in a mod there unless I am forgetting something. The reference here comes from Cody’s recollections/notes – not a bad source by any means. Khofan was a capitol of Coryani province before heresy and sack. Savona does not have a Gate but I believe the others all do. Which makes a Portal in Khofan “logical.”
