    I agree.

Considering how fast the first batch of Agamassi, val’Sosi, etc went on the first night, what about posting a few more of each? Some of them may not make sense to have more (not sure if the “3 bastard daughters” or “last of the pretender line” were arbitrary or if they are encoded in the story somewhere). To bring a little extra money, the new ones could even be a few dollars more than the first batch (I’ve seen other Kickstarters do this – “a few” being something like $5-10 – I’ve seen one Kickstarter try $50 more and get negative PR out of it).

In mid-late January, I will likely be able to talk some of my players into pledging but that will almost certainly be something like the $25 tier plus either the hardback or pdf addon.

The problem with just ‘opening up’ more of the previous ones is that the more of them there are, the less unique they are (and therefore less valuable).

I’m sure Henry and crew have some new pledge levels in the works, but I believe they will be new ones and not just opening up more of what’s been posted. They could open up a couple more businesses maybe without much effect on the previous buyers.

I think they are going to wait until after the holidays to introduce new ones that way there’s momentum throughout the campaign.

I would definitely encourage all your players to back for at least the PDF.

On a related note, I think more Add-Ons would be welcome also. Dice, Dials, T-Shirts, and Fate Chips are all thing folks have expressed interest in.

I could definitely go for some decent clocks/dials. d12s work but clocks/dials are nicer.

I keep suggesting at least a few more of the previous ones because I was shocked at how few of those addons there were originally. I’ve never seen any other Kickstarter with single-digit limits on anything short of $1000s at the very top of (usually a long) pledge list. Although, it sounds like PCI has done that before (I wasn’t interested in Rotted Capes or Witchhunter).

Of course, it also wouldn’t bother me if I wasn’t extremely interested in the Agamassi and/or val’Sosi (both of which were completely gone before I even got a chance to look at the KS)…

Well because these are ‘in character’ rewards for a shared campaign, limiting them is almost required. How many bastard daughters can there really be? \":)\" I think most of it is done to A) Limit the number of players with these characters and B) Ensure that the players who spent the money have something unique.

If these were things for which it made no difference how many people actually had them, the numbers could be larger. For those, they have created add-ons. I wouldn’t be discouraged though, as who knows what will happen in the next 5 weeks!

    Hello,

    B) Ensure that the players who spent the money have something unique

That’s exactly right, John. If I offer something for a price ,then changing the rules after the fact seems unfair to me. I may not be a very good capitalist, as one of my business partners recently told me, but I believe in not cheating people out of something they feel is unique.

This is why when I added a couple of “Special” tables, it was with the caveat of making sure that each story was unique.

Speaking of which, I saw some mention that there was another group interested in getting a table and I was debating creating one more. Is there interest in this?

In any case, I’ll be posting an Add On that many people have asked for tomorrow.

Henry, I can guarantee you’d sell at least one more table, Val barely beat about 4 of us trying to score it for a group we have that is interested.

Yeah. I even mentioned bastard daughters and last of the pretender line probably didn’t make sense to add more. I’d probably also be more understanding if some of the limits seemed to make more sense – I can’t see anything that is screwed up if there are a few more val’Sosi or Agamassi allowed as PCs (they may be rare but so rare that the campaign suffers if more than 2-4 players can play them? I seriously doubt it). I’d also be surprised if any of the players who pledged those levels would care if they opened up a few more (though I could be wrong as I don’t really know anyone who got one).

One addon I suggested that I’d like to see is a cert (or just a change to the campaign guide) allowing playing Ashen Hide (technically forbidden since they are from Canceri even though they’re pretty much separate from the rest of Canceri).

I think I’m just discouraged because A) I really like the idea of the val’Sosi and the Agamassi (from what little I know of them) would work really well for my secondary char and B) as I said, I’ve never seen such limited numbers on a Kickstarter (unless it’s a $1500+ level where you get an insane amount of stuff or something really unique).

    Hello everyone,

As promised a new Add On, one that has been asked for by many players over the years, was added to the Kick Starter – Land Grant. You may now finally own a piece of Arcanis with a nice view (optional).

Please remember – the examples listed are just that, examples. They are not meant to be an exhaustive list.

Thank you and have a very Happy Holiday!

Will this land be apart of a Land Registry?

As I am thinking of creating the nemesis of my escaped slave character. Having a register house hold she has escaped from just would add the the richness of the character.

Will there be an option to allow the owner of these land registries to have their land used in an adventure….. As long as it not harmed..

Good news Bob sp 3-4 features your villa in Grand Coryani you should enjoy being home!
Sadly after reading the adventure there is a 9/10 chance it will be nothing but ash left after the adventure is over!. I hope you purchased the fire insurance add on as well!

    Hello,

Adventures that take place in and around the place where you own the land may have an addendum that such and such may happen to a place owned by X, at the author’s discretion, but I don’t foresee an adventure actually taking place IN a home or property.

As for a Registry, I assume you mean a public record? Not sure about that. I’ll have to see how the “owners” feel about that.

Well had to raise that pledge amount, gotta have that place where the character escaped from.

That’s a cool add on. I don’t know if I will take advantage of it but glad to see more voices being heard if that’s something folks have asked for.

    Henry,

Does having a pledge add-on that involves owning property, especially with a $100 price tag, mean that there won’t be future opportunities in the game to own land? I know that’s what a number of us have been asking for as something on which spend our copious gold.

If not, what would be the differences between add-on property and gold purchased property?

one potential difference I see is that the add-on specifies your home region/city (other than Elorii). I suppose if you bought land with gold in game it could theoretically be anywhere. The home region limits the potential usefulness of the add-on for me, as I don’t see any adventures being set in Altheria for quite a while.
