March 3, 2015 at 10:27 pm #266252AnonymousInactivewhen you put out an update can you please change all the text to black before adding in new Red text?
the purpose of that request is to be able to easily identify the changes
March 3, 2015 at 10:40 pm #266253AnonymousInactivebecause things like:
Page: 10 (Errata)
Perseverance
Add Exceptional: between Armor: and While. This subtly invalidates more than a few peoples application of that rune, so what happens do people get a refund for buying something they can no longer use?
This wasnt in the 4.0 version of the eratta. and its certainly not trivial.

Huge
Add the following to the end of the Talent‘s benefit,
Unfortunately your large size makes a little easier to hit,
reducing your Avoidance by 1.Page: 428 (Errata)
Smite Heretic,
Change Range to Melee or 90′ (1 Target)
add the following paragraph between the 3rd & 4th
paragraphs.
When this spell is used in conjunction with the Smite
Infidel Talent this spell simply applies a Die Bump to the
bonus base damage granted by the Smite Infidel Talent thus,
a Tier I Smite Infidel combined with the Smite Heretic spell
grants a d6 (Charisma) damage bonus.corrections in red

Josh,
The question was raised and answered in the Legends of Arcanis FAQ and Errata – December 2014 thread (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1584). The thread had 4 pages of activity between Dec 23 and January 12th.
I expect many characters bought it or had it from the Gift of Loshnek cert from the end of the last campaign. Character who bought it should be able to replace it with an equivalent T1 rune or get their 5 Gc back. Likewise I would expect that those who got it from the Gift cert can pick one of the other 3 runes and give the Gift to another character as appropriate. I don’t see this as different from other changes that have invalidated character concepts and the Campaign’s staff’s willingness to allow people to adjust their character as needed.
The extra 10 Stamina was certainly nice, but as Eric pointed out in the thread, the benefit was far more in line with the Exceptional ability rather than the Fine one.

No worries. I agree that new content should be highlighted for clarity one way or the other. Color is likely easier / faster than a change log. Just wanted to provide details on where it got discussed.

I wanted to keep all the sections introduced in 4.X in red…. seeing that 4.X is the current update from 3.X
as for the corrections above I will add them and simply update the PDF as they don’t change the nature of the rulings at all
and yes, if you have the perseverance rune right now a GM should allow you to sawp it out for a fine rune or get 5g back.. just note it in the next adventure you play and have it signed by the GM at the table
March 11, 2015 at 1:54 am #266357AnonymousInactiveTwo things:
Next version, can you use a darker shade of red? When printing black and white, the background fades the text out.2. I just noticed that the errata for “Slashing Disarm” should also be applied to “Disarm Foe”, everything else is identical between the trick and the technique. I thought it had already been applied but it hasn’t.
“Effect: Weapon; you do not trigger Free Strikes (see Combat pg. 312) or suffer a penalty to your attack roll when attempting to disarm a foe.”

good point
I’ll see about adding that and cleaning up the document some
March 12, 2015 at 12:43 am #266383AnonymousInactiveOops.
Just noticed one difference. Disarm Foe is “Effect: None” for damage. The rest should match.
Edit:
Another display issue. Pg16 of Errata doc.“Page: 141 (Clarification)” needs “Spellcasting” added to the end of the line.
Took me a few tries to find this section (that I knew had been errata’d).
April 7, 2015 at 5:22 am #267141AnonymousInactiveLoophole that needs closing:
Codex of Heroes, pg.51
HuntsmanStarting Gear: traveler’s kit, leather armor, dagger, and one of the following: shortbow with 24 Arrows, medium crossbow with 24 Bolts, or flintlock rifle with 10 shots
of blast powder.Needs added:
Special: You may only choose the Flintlock Rifle if you are Altherian or Clergy of Altheres. Its currently possible for some peasant to flog one off for 5GC starting cash.
June 5, 2015 at 2:51 am #268224AnonymousInactiveA clean-up for the current errata.
Page: 264 (Errata)
Shield Slam
Add the following to Effect (Shown in Bold)
Effect: Weapon; Target is knocked prone and their Clock is Pushed by 3. Targets larger than the attacker are immune to this maneuver’s knockdown effect. You lose any benefit from the shield until you recover.
Weapons: Large Shield, Small Shield, Tower Shield.Tower Shield is added under the weapon entry but not the trick entry.
