Any decision on the family Skill, Weapon and Armour (esp with the Patriarch making an appearance)?

Sorry, I’ve had my hands full getting products done and out the door as well as writing three new adventures for Origins.

I’ll do my best to get this sorted out by Origins 2017.

Any decision on the family Skill, Weapon and Armour (esp with the Patriarch making an appearance)? LOL. I am obviously not Henry, but since he’s gone on vacation for several weeks I’ll at least offer up what I would do if I were running a ARP home game…

Divine’s granted Skill Perception. I think this is the obvious choice given Lianni’s themes, the family’s use of the eye as a motif, and the various powers that reference perception. Also no other Deity grants perception which is nice. And its an evergreen skill that everyone finds useful. Empathy, or Mettle might also worth at least considering. Empathy represent understanding others. i think its less appropriate than perception because AFAIK Lianni was more interested in working out how the universe worked than in figuring out what made individuals tick. But if she was a subtle & clever as Altheres & Sarish then its a worth choice. Mettle might represent force of will but Illiir and Nier both have it already. I don’t like it as a choice.

Favored Weapon: This one is somewhat tougher. I think its pretty obvious that Lianni didn’t fight with a two handed axe. And there is no story of her really using ANY weapon. But Unarmed is taken by Anshar & Jeggal Sag & I don’t think Lianni was much of a kick boxer. I think the most likely options are dagger or war fan. Sarish already has dagger. A fan is a concealable weapon and can be used to conceal the mouth or expression. And concealment is controlling the perception of others. So I think War Fan is the best choice for her favored weapon.

Armor: Again, Lianni was not a martial warrior so we can rule out the heavy stuff. Is she more like Cadic and Saluwe wearing leather armor? Or is she more like Anshar and Larissa wearing no armor, but getting masterful defense? I would go the Masterful Defense route.

Anyone else have other ideas on how to skin this cat?
