    Hello,

I think one of the layers may have been left active during compiling.

There’s a zoom box on the map just above the palace that shouldn’t be visible.

I looked on the master copy and I don’t see it. Its a PDF so everything is automatically flattened.

    Hmmm….

Gone now I check it again. The toddler was hitting buttons while I was browsing, so something strange happened.

I was admiring the map yesterday (and it’s a sweet piece of art) and I could not find two things. Maybe I missed them. One is a scale line that tells me distance and the other is the device that tells the north south east west orientation of the map. Now I assume the top of the map is north but I want to be sure. And some idea of distance would be helpful. Am I missing that or is that something that should be there?

I’ll see what I can do to answer your questions.

Assuming you have the correct image, a scale is provided in the top right of the map under the ‘Uncleansed Area’ key. The scale is marked in yards and miles, and should provide you exactly what you need.

As for north, I drew it with the assumption that the map was aligned to the cardinal directions, with north at the top, but will leave that to Henry to confirm.

Also, super pleased to read you like the map. It was a pretty massive endeavour. \":D\"

i’d pay $50 for a cloth map. Just accept cash and don’t admit to my wife that you sold it to me…

I too would keep that secret from my wife, but I think postage Down Under may be the killer.

    Add me to that list!
And possibly most of my married gaming friends: I think it would be easier to confess to a gambling or alcohol addiction than confess about wanting to spend lots of money on maps to places that don’t exist. Muggles. Tssk.

Could there be some way to “crowd fund” that? See how much interest is really out there for that sort of map?

Just had a quick Google search and if we had a .jpg or similar then it’s relatively inexpensive.

    for example
    http://www.lacunapress.com/

Could get a meter sized one for £25ish or even as a cushion cover so it can be part of your decor.
I imagine America or Austrailia would have similar services. Would just need permission from the copyright holders…

That 350gsm Natural Linen is gorgeous. i would absolutely buy a wall map printed on a heavyweight canvas like that.

I wonder if there would be some way to do this as a “print on demand” sort of thing. Correct me if I’m wrong because I’ve never ordered one, but don’t they have something like that for T-Shirts?
