Were any of the modules updated between being available on the old site and being available on the new site?
Any plans to put the 2011 Fast Play intro module up? At a minimum, how about a place-holder for it so we can report having run it?
I’m starting up a new group in 2 weeks and I don’t think any of the 5 players have played Arcanis before so I’m planning on running them through that first.

So there’s a new feature. “Find Events Near Me.” This page allows you to search for public events within a distance from a given postal code. Here’s the catch. I did not have postal code as a field when any of the existing events were created. So I added postal code. And in order for the proximity search to work, I need locations to have postal codes. if your location doesn’t have a postal code, it will be excluded from the result set. (Online events can have, “Online” as the postal code.)
So, how do I enter a postal code for an existing location? I’ve created a location maintenance page. Log into the site, go to “My Events” and you’ll see that the “Event Location” caption is now a hyperlink. That hyperlink takes you to the maintenance page.
Another side-effect is that I’ve changed the Country field into a drop down with a list of countries. This is necessary for the proximity search to work properly. The proximity search will limit itself to a single country. So if you live near the border of two countries, I apologize but the proximity search will not cross the border for you.
If you have any problems or questions, please respond to this thread and I’ll address them as soon as I can. In the mean time, please log in and update your locations with a country and postal code. Then players will be able to start searching for public events near them!

February 8, 2014 at 2:26 am #256462AnonymousInactiveJust as a quick comment, I just tried to report an online PbP game we were running. Apparently I underestimated the amount of time it would take, so since we are more than 2 weeks past the announced end date, the system will no longer allow me to enter any information. It would be nice to see this changed.
February 8, 2014 at 3:10 am #256467AnonymousInactiveI’ve been meaning to post on this for a week or two now…
I’m pretty sure it was said at one point that email addresses were sufficient for reporting players. However, when I enter email addresses, I get an error to the effect of “invalid user” or “no such user found”. Do all players have to have accounts on the site to report games? If so, I’d suggest changing it – otherwise, a lot of GMs like me will most likely not report games (because most of the players don’t go to cons and don’t want to register on a website). If not, any idea what I was doing wrong and how I can report the games?
February 9, 2014 at 12:20 am #256490AnonymousInactiveThe ‘keep me logged in’ option doesn’t seem to be working on the download site, and I’ve registered two different events in the last couple hours (with two different names), and neither of them are appearing. Nothing shows up under the Adventure tab, or the Events tab.

Send me the details of the event in a PM and I’ll make sure it gets into the system. Also, I’ll check and see if a change to the deadline for reporting events is acceptable or not.Scott

You should only need an e-mail address. And the players don’t need to be in the system. I believe, but I’m not 100% certain, that the chronicler needs to be in the system as a registered user. I can doublle-check that, if necessary. But if the chronicler is a registered user (and that’s a moot point) then please send me a screen capture or the text of the message. I’ll check this out and see what I can do.Scott

This could be two different issues… When you click on keep me logged in and then leave the page and come back, does it remember you? Also, the hosting provider seems to have a very short duration for the authentication expiration. If you’re idle for like 10 minutes or so, you get logged out. And if you get logged out, the download might not complete. Up until now, they didn’t seem to be an issue, so I didn’t spend any time on it. If you can give me some additional info, I’ll see what I can figure out.Scott
