Clint,
I will run 4 tables for GenCon, I just don’t know which ones yet until I see the event listing to know what I’m playing (slot-wise). Is that going to be an issue?

Not at all John. I completely understand the not wanting to sign up before you know your schedule. And this is perfectly viable if you don’t need room space.

We’ve got about 3 weeks to get the judge rooms filled before we lose them. I’m just a little surprised those didn’t fill quickly due to all the housing issues GenCon continues to have. It’s also possible to sign up for the 6 judge slots and then re-kink them around after the cut off. The cutoff and the day the events go live are the same day so we can’t wait til after if you want a room spot.

If we reach May 17th and haven’t improved much, we’re going to have to rethink our offerings.

We need as many judges as we can get. I know GenCon hasn’t been an Arcanis/Paradigm destination in a while, but we’re trying to bring that back. And we certainly aren’t trying to take the place of Origins as the premier con for them. There are a lot of Paradigm folks that go there for completely other reasons and like to use it for their other gaming. We sure could use their help if they can spare a slot or two.

I know we can fill most these tables with players.

Clint, judges rooms work fine for people traveling by themselves, but not so much for families or even just with spouses.

maybe a cert for gencon gms who run at least 2 or some other reward for those who run 5/6 like a book or something…

I agree, that would be cool. But I can’t speak for the Arcanis campaign staff or Paradigm. We’re a seperate entity from either.

Is it possible to have my badge picked up and available at muster? I’m otherwise concerned about being there at the start of the morning slot.

Badges can be picked up from me after 6:00 on Wednesday of the Con.

Ok. I’m only onsite for the 3 events I’m running, if that’s a problem let me know. Given that I don’t qualify for a GM badge, I’ll buy mine tonight or tomorrow. Let me know if there’s anything else I need to do to make sure you can grab it for me.

when will we know if were getting if were going to be picked to run and when will we get credit/ a badge…

If you aren’t getting a GM badge I can’t pick it up for you, sadly.

If you are signed up, you’re in and will be getting the award/reward for judging. I’ll do some research when I have some time to figure out when I can start issuing GM badges.

We’re still sitting in the Accepted for Consideration queue, meaning they haven’t assigned us a location yet. Once they get that settled we should start showing.

Any update on the status of the event slots for GenCon, with what events and when they will be offered available? Been checking the Event Listings at GenCon’s site, but nothing yet, and I’m starting to put a schedule together for the convention.
