    My name’s Andy Law. If you don’t know, I’m the chap who will very soon be drafting a huge poster map for this Kickstarter since the $11,500 stretch goal has been blasted through.

    I’m super excited, and thought it would be nice to drop in and say hello.

    Hi Andy,
    You’re the only reason I’m looking at a higher pledge amount (once pay day comes around). As long as the maps are scanned at least A1 (prefer A0) size for a really high quality print option.

    I’m thinking about it. From the val’Vasik perspective, they just lived through Ragnarok. The Twilight o the Gods. The Apocalypse. Your old world order has been destroyed. What do you do after that? Explore? Rebuild? Carry the teaching of Xabal into the world? Could be cool.

    On the other hand… In the last campaign I built a back up val’Vasik character from their Sarishian write up/incarnation. I liked that character and even though I gather that the release of their Sarishian characteristics was something of a mistake, I’m still deeply ambivalent about the continuity change of the Illirite version. If I find that frustrating or controversial then perhaps its best if I steer clear of it. If the lineage just dies out it also leads to some cool RP. How do vals (that notice) feel about the idea of a line going extinct?

    On the third hand I already have two characters I enjoy playing. If I do buy a val’Vasik character when am I ever going to use him at a table?

    Hi, Southernskies. I’m pleased to read you’re looking forward to the map.

    At this early juncture, it appears the final piece will have a massive resolution, so high quality prints seem very likely.

    As for the final dimensions — well, I’m sure you’ll find out more about that once the details have been hammered into place over the next few weeks to months. We’re still a long way off from the Kickstarter closing, and the drafting starting, after all. But, once I get started with the project, I’ll be happy to keep in touch with folks regarding the progress of the work, if enough people are interested.

    I am pretty sure there are a lot of us who are interested. Personally I can’t wait. I love maps and we’ve been all but starved of them in this edition. Like a lot of other people I loved your Freeport Map and am also excited that were not just getting a map but that you are executing it.
