Somewhere in the depths of the city of Grand Coryan, there lies a room under one of the many temples in the city. The room is in one of the sub basements of the temple, and has no windows to betray those within to the outside world.
From the dark corner of the room, a single Witchlight illuminates a man wearing a nondescript white priestly robe edged with red. Though obscured by the hood of the robes, the din reflection of the light on the man’s red hair can faintly be seen around the fringes of the hood. Coming to the centre of the room, the man lets the Witchlight go to the ceiling, better illuminating the room about him.
“Brothers and Sisters, welcome. Before we begin, let us pray to the almighty Illiir to bless this meeting and to ensure that only truth is said between the faithful:
“Lord Illiir, who art in Paradise, please watch over this conclave of your children as we effort to bring the true word of your kin back to the shattered world that we see before us. May your daughter Larissa grant us the sight to see things to come, and may her brother Hurrian protect us from those who wish to stop us from bringing Your True Words back to your children.
“Additionally, as we live in trying times where there are those who seek to lead your children to the oblivion of heresy and apostasy, please grant us the ability to view into the souls of those around us so that we may target those who wish to deliberate lead those astray from Your True Path.
“In the name of all the Gods of Man, Masters of the Heavens, Amen.”

A holy symbol dedicated to Sarish rests upon the chest of the figure and glints with a greenish hue in the pale light.
The figure sits upon a chair in the room next to a table; delicate hands with painted finger nails hold a black rune staff with the Holy symbol of Sarish resplendent upon its apex.
The hooded figure bows her head at the end of the prayer and says in a sultry feminine voice: “In the name of all the Gods of Man, Amen”

What some may have thought was a statue or pillar up against a wall turns out to be the tall figure of a man wearing heavy armor under a worn gray cloak, the hafts of a couple spears stick out of a quiver on his back.
With the room fully lit he moves forward to a table and takes a seat near Alessia, shrugs his cloak back out of the way to reveal a set of intricate royal lorica armor. Turns out he is a very large val with gray eyes, long arms and huge hands.
To the Sarishan he says, “Greetings, Alessia. Glad you get to see me today. How does one get a drink at an event like this?”

aka Decios Canius val’Dellenov, Spear Merchant [2.3]October 31, 2013 at 4:23 pm #251870AnonymousInactiveThe Sarishan in the dark purple robes slowly lowers her hood revealing a Coryani woman in her mid twenties, long golden tresses with hints of copper blended in are styled in the latest fashion from Sweet Savonna, her full lips the color of rose and her skin lightly tanned. Her beauty would strike desire in most men and envy from most women. Too look upon her is a pleasure and her beauty could lead one into a serene sense of security yet one feature breaks this hold, the clear eyes of a psionicly active Val.
Alessia turns to Decios and smiles, the room seems a little brighter for it. “Decios it is always a pleasure to be in your company.” Her hand moves to tenderly cover his as her eyes glow softly in the dim light. “I am certain there is a decanter of water nearby, would you be a dear and bring me a glass as well before the meeting begins. “
October 31, 2013 at 4:35 pm #251871AnonymousInactive“Alas, Decios, finding anything much harder than water here in Grand Coryan may be of some issue, especially in a Temple. As Holy as she may be, the Matriarch’s attempts to proscribe alcohol has many downsides at times like this.”
October 31, 2013 at 5:17 pm #251872AnonymousInactiveAlessia turns her smile upon Haakon. “Decios was kindly offering to get me a glass of water no more no less. We are, well acquainted. Yet you and I are not, allow me to remedy this. I am Alessia Val’Mehan priestess of Sarish, I hail from Little Savonna, and it is my pleasure to meet such a well spoken man.
October 31, 2013 at 5:28 pm #251873AnonymousInactive“I do apologize for my lack of proper introductions before, so allow me to remedy that. Many Greetings, Lady Alessia. I am Haakon Marcus val’Virdan of Nova Cormata and it is always a good day to meet one such as yourself.” Turning to Decios, “As with you, I have also met this fine gentleman before, though I must admit our first meeting did lead to more lively debate than some may view as friendly. Then again, such is the matter of debate and I hold no grudges against such things.” Haakon says, winking at Decios while he too stands to get some water.
October 31, 2013 at 5:37 pm #251874AnonymousInactiveDecios chuckles after Alessia covers his hand.
“Yes, of course I meant water. I’m parched from my travels and could use something to refresh the body. I’ll gladly grab you a cup too.”
With that, he rises and fetches a pitcher of water and some cups. He even checks to make sure they are clean.
October 31, 2013 at 5:48 pm #251875AnonymousInactiveDecios nods to Haakon and grins.
“If there aren’t some teeth flashed its not really a debate to me. What happened in the past is no longer of consequence. Lets have a sip then figure out why we’ve been called here.”
October 31, 2013 at 7:55 pm #251877AnonymousInactive“Well met Haakon Marcus, my friend Decios is a man strong of heart and conviction. If you are of similar stature I have little doubt that debate between you would be intense. It is good that you are both able to leave such discussions in the past to focus on current events, something I look forward to.”
Alessia accepts the cup from Decios with a polite nod and sips at it.
“Do either of you know why we have been called here? Perhaps the rumor of the discovery of the Vault of Larissa’s Lament? Certainly it could not be just us three.”
Alessia glances around the room. “Perhaps we are but early, no?”
November 1, 2013 at 3:17 am #251878AnonymousInactive“Once we get down to business I’ll likely refrain from talking much, been my experience I can easily rub some folks the wrong way. Alessia, you so much better at this stuff than I.”
(and Rick is going on a week long hunting trip starting tomorrow, so I’ll be quiet for a bit)
November 1, 2013 at 3:22 am #251879AnonymousInactive“Alas, I do not know why we were summoned to the capitol. All I know is that I received my summons on my way through Balantica. I was originally planning on doing my Pilgrimage of the Citadels, when I was told to come here.”
November 4, 2013 at 9:12 pm #251924AnonymousInactiveAlessia’s smile widens and a soft chuckle escapes her ruby lips. “Ah Decios, you have managed to hide a sense of humor from me, how wicked of you!” Alessia leans back into the cushion of her chair and sets her cup upon the table. “A long journey Haakon, I would enjoy hearing about such a Pilgrimage. Myself, I was only on my way home to Little Savonna when I received this summons so nothing too exciting I’m afraid.
November 6, 2013 at 7:47 pm #251959AnonymousInactive“I have long heard about the pilgrimages, but alas none of my family has partaken the Azure Way. My Great Uncle, Nils, is the only one of my family who has even set foot in the Blessed Lands, and stories say he even visited the Citadel of Yarris while there, but alas he was there for business and not a pilgrimage.”
November 11, 2013 at 7:46 pm #252137AnonymousInactive“It seems we all have the same sort of summons. I, too, was in Balantica when messaged,” says Decios as he looks around the room intently.
“I am guessing there will be more coming. Lets have some more of this glorious water. Nothing quite refreshes the mind and body like this stuff.”
