because you think the 100 currently in the spell is too good?

well, yes
also I don’t want people casting and attacking on the way down.. (hence the clumsy flight speed)
they can charge all they want.. but the last think I want to see is people use it as a “i fly out of combat and attack on the way down”
March 14, 2014 at 5:09 pm #259093AnonymousInactivehow ’bout “due to the nature of this spell you cant target anything more than 10′ away”
March 14, 2014 at 5:13 pm #259095AnonymousInactiveTake a look
Effect:
Immediately on casting the Target of this spell shoots straight skyward up to a maximum height of 60′ (The exact distance chosen by the recipient of the spell), and upon their next action the target begins descending to the ground. The Target starts to glide downwards, moving 30′ every 4 ticks, as if they possessed Clumsy maneuverability, ending once the target lands on a hard surface. During this movement, the target must move downwards, at least half of their movement every action, as they unable to gain any altitude.
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 2 to increase the maximum height by 30’. This Adaptation may be applied more than once.
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 3, Speed and Strain by 1 to affect two Targets within 10’ of each other.
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 9 to cast this spell again during your decent; you may only perform this Adaptation once per Scene.
March 14, 2014 at 5:15 pm #259097AnonymousInactivejohn can you specifiy “this change” ?
The part where you glide at 30′ per 4 ticks and can act normally for up to 36 ticks.

March 14, 2014 at 5:22 pm #259098AnonymousInactiveBefore we work on a fix, what is the intent of the spell? Is it meant to be a way to reach heights? Help you and your party bypass certain obstacles, and safely traverse treacherous heights? If so, leave it clumsy maneuverability and clarify the straight up and how gliding works. If it’s meant to be a “get out of combat for 36 ticks and buff, heal, attack, etc” then it needs nerfing some.

half of their movement every action means every action they take is a movement action… this doesnt make sense to me
March 14, 2014 at 5:44 pm #259103AnonymousInactiveI’m still a fan of clarifying and fixing it. However I feel that unless all the fly spells and powers are fixed at the same time this becomes too good for dominating combat encounters. Wording the spell to have more control over the descent as you’ve written is fine if you remove the option to attack or cast spells while gliding. You can still adjust movement, draw and sheath items, use talents, etc. I’d leave the option to charge by descending the full remaining height and make a basic attack.

ok this is what I’m trying to say…. you can only move.. and you must move 30′ per action (4 ticks), 15′ of which must be down and you can not ascend

Which is why I changed it the way I did… you must go down at least half your move.. nothing says you can move down the entire move…

March 14, 2014 at 6:25 pm #259121AnonymousInactiveLooks good. When do you decide in the last adaptation? The first time you cast it? Or as you’re gliding down?
